Sauna - Why is the heat good for you

Lower the blood preassure in the sauna

When the cold really bites, it's wonderful to reset the mind and fill the body with warmth in a sauna. But this small, hot room can do more than just provide comfort. Several studies have shown that saunas are healthy for the body, and some even suggest that regular visits can prevent high blood pressure. You can end your workout with a guilt-free visit to the heat!

Strengthen your immunesystem

When your body is exposed to the high temperatures of a sauna, your core temperature rises, which mimics a mild fever. This process stimulates the production of white blood cells, which are crucial for fighting off infections. Therefore, regular sauna use can help strengthen your body's defenses and make you more resistant to illness.

Clear your mind and reduce stress

The heat from a sauna promotes blood circulation, hydrates the skin, eases muscle and joint pain, and helps reduce inflammation in your cells. If you're sore after a workout, the increased blood flow can aid your muscles and help you feel more relaxed. Additionally, the heat can strengthen your mental health and calm your nervous system. So if you're feeling overwhelmed by thoughts, restlessness, or stress, a visit to the sauna can lift your mood and soothe you.
